(flow, call for action, colors (localization), unity of design language)
It is one thing to design a website. It is another thing to design an amazing website. But designing an amazing website that converts, that is the million dollars formula…
There is extreme importance to how the site looks. Not in the sense of beauty, colors and flashy elements, but in the sense of tailoring the design to your audience, and the flow to your goal.
For example – if your goal is to create a lead (by making the user fill a form) you will want that spot to be the most eye-catching spot in the site, yet not exaggerated and aggressive. You want you users to feel like they are doing what they want, while in fact you’ve anticipated their moves in the site – the flow – and made them go through that lead generation form no matter what.
Important! - This is a profession. You can call it Usability, User Experience, Localization and more. Bottom line is the same – it takes time and a lot of trial and error to get the right look and feel to the site. Try a few versions, test them on people that have never been to the site and do not have a prior knowledge of what your goals are, and see how they respond.
